Elita Persis

What's your art?
Singer and aspiring songwriter.
Why do you do what you do?
I have been singing quite literally since I could speak, it is my language. My music more than anything else has been my rescue and reason to hope against all odds. From having to walk through some of life’s deepest most darkest valleys to standing on mountain top experiences there is nothing I am more grateful for than my song.
What happens when you stop doing your art?
There has not been a time that I recollect having stopped doing my art considering it is such a big part of who I am. I’ve found that even when this life throws its curveballs at me it has brought me right back to a place where I have ultimately found solace in my art.
What’s your story?
My story has been about breaking free from chains of my own insecurities, from everything I thought had to be crossed off on the perfection list and finding true freedom in sharing my art in its raw and authentic form.
Who do you want to inspire?
My art in essence is a translation of who I am, my experiences, all my dreams and aspirations. Through my art I hope to inspire everyone that is on their own journey of finding freedom in and through their art and hold space that will help them find hope.
